The Headless Turn Out Hood from Snuggy Hoods is perfect for all those wanting to keep their horse as clean as possible and protect the mane without  covering the face. The Headless Turn Out Hood is fixed in place with an adjustable velcro belly band on the girth. Constructed of a fully breathable, robust, comfortable, machine washable fabric and lined with a seamless, shiny fabric through the mane and shoulder. The Headless Turn Out Hood is water repellent, mud proof and wind proof.

The Headless Turn Out Hood is elasticated and adjustable around the top and cut extra long so it sits securely behind the ears even when the neck is extended down fully to graze. There is the option of a zip - NEW for 2018 super strong YKK zip! -  for ease of fitting which runs from top to chest. Without the zip the Hood is ‘pull on’ so simply slipped over the nose and pulled back into position.

To avoid winter mane rubbing and subsequently mane loss we recommend to use the Headless Turn Out Hood all Winter WITHOUT high or full neck rugs as much as possible. We suggest to only use rugs with necks on very wet or very cold days - the Headless Turn Out Hood is more than adequate protection for your horse or pony otherwise.

TOP TIP - Grease is a common cause for mane loss/rubbing. To reduce mane loss use the Headless Turn Out Hood but wash it regularly to keep the lining grease free. Ensure the mane is clean and non greasy too for best results!

The Lightweight Rug Liner (formerly Petticoat Rug) is a made of a soft, silky fabric which helps prevent rubs or chaffing on withers, chest, shoulders, body & hips. Suitable for use under any rug, all year round, the Lightweight Rug Liner also creates coat shine.

It is easy to fit and easy to wash, so ideal for use under thick Winter rugs to keep grease out of the coat and keep heavy rug linings clean. Just wash the Lightweight Rug Liner regularly for shiny, clean coat! Lightweight, easy to fit and to wash (in the washing machine) - an essential addition to the Snuggy wardrobe!

The Lightweight Rug Liner has a loop at the chest for rug buckles and loops for your Snuggy Hood surcingle and leg straps for added security. It is made from the same clever fabric as our silky Shoulder Guard which is used to prevent rubs on chest, shoulders and withers only.

*PLEASE NOTE* The Lightweight Rug Liner sizing is not generous as the fabric is not stretchy so if your horse/pony is between sizes choose the bigger option.

TOP TIP For a fantastic shiny, clipped Winter coat - use a Lightweight Rug Liner under a Winter Under Rug (formerly Spik & Span) - in the field or stable! Layer your turn out/stable rugs on top as required. The Lightweight Rug Liner will add shine and keep grease from building up on the coat (remember to wash the liner regularly) and the Winter Under Rug will add a layer of warmth and keep the belly warm, clean and dry. This combination will help keep a dull, clipped Winter coat shiny, clean and better still - make the hair grow back less quickly = clip less often!

Designed for use under high neck Turn Out rugs, the Turn Out head was created especially for mud monsters.  Perfect for preventing mud and stable stains and also helps prevent clipped faces growing back so quickly.

Constructed of a robust, water repellent, comfortable and fully breathable fabric. Extensively trialed and based on Snuggy's successful and unique hood design, the Snuggy Hoods' Head features generous eye holes and ear covers, carefully constructed seams that avoid pressure on sensitive poll and muzzle areas and double Velcro fastening behind the poll, for extra security and excellent fit.

The Head extends slightly along the neck, which enables it to be used with turnout rugs that have full/high necks. With a certain amount of stretch in the Head - it makes it easy to pull on and off (a zip is optional) and is comfortable and durable. Now with Ears as standard. Ears can be easily cut off if not required.

*PLEASE NOTE* - The Turn Out Head is intended to be attached to a high neck rug (turnout or stable). The Head comes complete with a strong D-ring just behind hind the ears and a spare velcro piece which we highly recommend you attach to the edge of your rug's neck so the head can be securely to the rug using the d-ring and velcro loop. Please contact us before using the Turn Out Head if you are unsure of this or need help. We don't recommend the use of the Turn Out Head if it is not attached to a rug. If you have multiple rugs we can provide additional velcro loops free of charge - just contact us to request.

The Snuggy Horse Shoulder Guard (formerly Silky Bib) is suitable for use under any rug or hood to prevent rubs to chest, shoulders and withers. The fabric is lightweight, silky, cool and comfortable so suitable for use all year round.

It has no seam at the withers and has a rug buckle loop at the chest for security. Otherwise there are no clips, straps or buckles. After extensive trials we found this 'non-fixed' design the most successful in terms of horse/pony comfort and preventing rubbing. From experience we find fixed, stretchy shoulder bibs the least successful.

Fully machine washable, just wash in a domestic machine on a normal cycle. We recommend to wash the Horse Shoulder Guard regularly to prevent any skin irritation from grease/dirt and also to prolong the life of the fabric.To protect your washing machine from loose hairs and dirt use the Snuggy Laundry Bag to wash the Shoulder Guard and any other 'horsey' items.

The Jams Hood is lined through the mane and shoulder area with a no-seam silky fabric to prevent rubbing, the nose band is adjustable for a good fit. This Outdoor Dog Rug covers chest, shoulders, body, between front legs and all of the belly. The fabric is water repellent, heavy shower proof, mud proof & wind proof. TO FIT - Firstly undo the velcro adjuster around the neck and the belly piece on both sides, then pull it over the dogs head.
